This is going to happen. Craig Bushmouse has confirmed that Coutinho is going to Spurs and weβre bringing in Eriksen.
The perfect signing. Not too young, not too old (only turned 27 a few months ago) and doesnβt have to spend time getting used to the PL.
Brings the creativity we so sorely need and has hit double figure goal returns over the past 3 seasons. Doesnβt solve all our problems but certainly is the type of player who is better to have than not have and weβd be silly to go into the season without his creativity.
Welcome to Manchester Christian Eriksen π©π°

Apparently Spurs invited us to make a bid but we decided to pass as he had wanted to go to Madrid and United are wary of dealing with Levy. Its also why no bid came in for Toby. United don't want to finance Tottenham's spending money.

Leaves spurs right in the brown stuff with both available on frees next summer.
--------------------
Levy won't be happy about that with the cost of the stadium. He will have been sat there hoping to get £90m for Erikson.
The thing is, we have got a hugely talented youngster in Gomes with 1 year left on his contract. Do we just play him instead and try and convince him to sign a new long term deal? We aren't winning the league this season, so maybe just give him a shot and see what he can do?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Even if we’re not winning the league we can’t just write off the season. We are in a real fight for top 4 and need all the quality players we can get
---------------------
Only if they really want to play for the club Robb.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All really depends on how much they don’t wanna play for the club. If a bit of money persuades them then we’re no worse than City. If they flat out don’t wanna play like ADM then avoid

Eriksen wants a move out of the country, preferably Spain with Madrid. I don't see him staying at Tottenham.
Dybala signing as several issues wage (which since reported that he is willing a reduce amount), agent fee, image rights fee and also that he'd prefer to stay at Juventus. Those three things are a big issue. The image rights and agents fee add £30m to the deal as his image rights are separate and United liken that to be under them. I think the wages would have ended up around 250k but it's best to have players committed to the club.
It's why our transfer has all been looking at the short to long term (Maguire for now, AWB for now and future, James more for the future) and for those who would want to play for the club. The right mental attitude and character were other things looked at. Eriksen and Dybala fail to meet them all of them.
