We weren't at it full tilt in the first half, but after that we were excellent. The interchange down the right was mouthwatering at times. Thought Dallas was superb prior to his injury, and is making a good case for Ayling not getting back in. Hernandez was slack on the ball at times, but some great linkup play with Dallas, Klich, Forshaw and Bamford (who was super tonight).
We ran them ragged for most of the second half, made them press us and used that against them. Genius substitutions from Bielsa and perfectly timed. Nketiah scores because of how much hard work the rest of the forward line had been putting in imo, and that's why he's so dangerous.
Thought Phillips marshalled us well, Cooper and White were dominant, Casilla was class, and our fullbacks ran the line well, with plenty of energy and good passing and control. Always thought the goal was going to come and never felt particularly worried about them (even though they hit the post).
A thoroughly professional performance against a good Brentford side who caused us trouble in both games last season. MOT ALAW.

Flew in to Vancouver today right as game was playing. Caught tail end during cab ride to hotel. Holy hell. What a win. Solid Brentford team. And last I checked were top of league.
White and Costa and Nketiah proving that this version of the club has an absolute fooking clue.

Spot on with your assessment, Lubo, Brentford are a well-organised team who will upset quite a few along the way. I was much more worried about this one than Stoke at the weekend.

We wouldn't have won this game last season but the addition of the 2 PL standard lads with pace and quality is really making me feel positive.

Fair enough Wakey but I think my point is with the two who basically broke the deadlock last night in the team last season, we would have been over the hill and out if site, certainly in the latter stages.
Pace and Quality combined is what we've been missing - hopefully that has been put to rights.
