Manchester Evening News: Pep Guardiola must avoid third consecutive Man City surprise at Bournemouth
Writes Simon Bajkowski: “Manchester City head to Bournemouth this weekend and their last two trips proved pivotal in the title race.
“On Sunday, for the first time in three visits, Guardiola needs to avoid a surprise.
“In each of the last two seasons, he has arrived at the ground unsure of exactly how good his team would be and left with more knowledge and more points.
“Having become the first side in a decade to retain the Premier League title, the manager insists he has no doubts about the mentality of his players.
“But football is a funny old game and anything but another three points from Bournemouth this weekend will test of the strength of those beliefs.
“After such memorable moments from their trips to take on Eddie Howe's team, Guardiola will surely settle for an utterly forgettable game this weekend as long as his side leaves with three points."
That's all for today, but we'll be back with more of the same tomorrow.
