Well folks, here’s the 1st instalment of why we so passionately follow our teams
Forest look to build in their impressive start to the season by embarking on a decent run in a competition they almost owned in years gone by, and more importantly, getting one over in their closest rivals
Derby, although have had a steady start to their campaign, haven’t perhaps impressed as much as many thought they would, but of course it’s early days yet, and anything can happen in a one cup knockout competition
People say that winning breeds confidence, and of course both teams would love to take the other one out....but if we’re being completely honest, deep down, I wouldn’t be too devastated if we were to go out. Neither of us are going to win the competition and if going out early, albeit to to our local rival meant it gives us more chance in the League, most of us would see that as the priority
Of course, I would still love us to beat Derby in the Cup, beat then twice in the League, finish above them, and get promoted....but I don’t ask for much
Here’s hoping for a great game...both teams have nothing to lose, except a bit of pride, and bragging rights
Just out of interest, is the Brian Clough Trophy the line?

Embarrisingly one sided and an embarising following from Derby; sitting on their hands for 80 minutes!
Loved the Rooney chants and the 'handball' was also funny as...
Shame.

Not as embarrassing as my spelling

Yes, the handball episode was hilarious. It was a most desperate call for a penalty after the ball had clearly fizzed into a Forest defender’s head. The ball then goes for a throw in. Ribeiro walks towards the ball and is met with all four sides of the ground screaming “Handball!!” as he picks it up.

Oh dear spart resorting to; don't look at me even though my team has just lost an important Cup game because of a out of touch coach, looook loook over there!
Just like tory dog whistle politics, Spart is just the sort who voted leave I expect too........

Onto the next one, I wonder how we will do against preston....
Preston are nothing short of a bogey team. Two years in a row where preston at home is a bitterly cold and miserably damp midweek affair set aside for us to play the worst football fans see that season while preston dont get out of 1st gear.
Even a draw for me would show a corner turned, especially as they've started well (6th).

PNE are a solid championship team. No bells or whistles but they can be difficult to put away. You would hope with confidence coursing through the side after the last few results, and a decent showing from the second XI last night, it should have everyone up on their toes.

Arsenal away!
It’s a dodgy Monday night fixture but it’s a banger of a tie especially if we can repeat our last score line
