Very sad to see what's going on at Bury:
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/27/bury-and-bolton-two-of-englands-oldest-clubs-face-tuesday-expulsion
Surely this is the EFL's fault - the club was sold for a quid by one shyster to another, so they had two chances to apply the fit and proper persons test. What a sick joke for Bury fans! Could have easily happened to us with Cellino.
Take a bow, Ian Frazer, for lending a hand! It's great to read about that, at least.

It's a genuine question, wanted to know where you got the info from, but if you can't answer it, it just damages the credibility of points your trying to make.

Stevie, I'm not trying to defend him, but not seen anyone say he's been running 53 companies, so keen to understand where that came from.
Am assuming its a misinterpretation of the stories in the press that he was associated with 53 companies, as you well know, that's a very different thing.
As for directorships, it's only 13, so somewhere along the line there is a lot of fud being thrown around, which really doesn't help anyone understand exactly what's gone on.

Info, I suspect, came from the Sun. I believe I saw something similar. The bloke Dale is an idiot. I've seen him interviewed twice plus he has, maybe deliberately, not pushed through a sale on a number of occasions even with a CVA in place.

I'm not saying he's not, I'm saying that people bandy around info with no clue as to it's veracity.

I agree, information is only as good as the sources we get it from. I base my opinion on the interviews, the statements made by interested legitimate parties.
I'm also bemused by his insistence that he only wanted to work with community projects following his illness but clearly ignored this when it came to Bury FC.

I can't comment too much on his character, I've only seen a short interview, but he didn't come across well in it at all.
When you start seeing transactions between companies connected by family connections there is almost always bound to be some issues.

The information came from the guardian which states that
"Dale has a track record of asset-selling: 43 of the 51 companies he has been linked with have been liquidated"
If he is the one doing the stripping its fair to assume that he is in a role of power and not just some tea lady

He'd be a bloody frightening tea lady........

Ok, so that statement could mean he's thought about buying 51 companies, but didn't buy them and they got liquidated, for example, it's the wording of these things that's important.
Like I said, not trying to defend him, but there are so many statements like this that get banded around that make it hard to get down to the facts.
At the end of the day one hopes that something good comes form this in terms of protecting football as a whole and one would hope that the larger clubs and wealthier players realise that without the Burys of this world many players would never get their first chance and the whole sport would be all the poorer for that.

A lot of defending going on for someone who isn't trying to defend anyone?
