Good draw for English sides

Liverpool do well in Europe but they cannot get the one they really want. The big one is too hard for them to win because 38 games is the true test of any team.

I don’t think either club is in either ones shadow. They are both playing the best football in the country at the moment by some distance with little separating them.

Not just history, the present. Two recent attempts have floundered without so much of a whimper.

I'd be more concerned about not being the best English team for 30 years.

Must of been a real doozy for the ones who decided to support them in the late 80s
