Wilshere out for a few more months!!!

Taken from Arsenal.com

Jack Wilshere will undergo surgery on his right ankle on Monday morning.

Wilshere has recently been wearing a protective boot aimed at allowing a stress fracture of the ankle time to heal naturally and avoid surgery.

However, scans this week have revealed that the fracture has not responded positively during this period.

Throughout Jack's injury, the Club has been guided by the continuous advice of several world-renowned specialists. The information attained this week has led to the conclusion that surgery is now required to gain an optimal response.

Wilshere is now expected to be out for a period of months. Following surgery these timescales will become more specific.

A Club spokesman said: "We have given Jack time to heal naturally which is important wherever possible with a young player. The latest scans show surgery is needed. Everyone at the Club wishes Jack a speedy recovery."

Jack might as well be a write off for this season. Going to Euro 2012 wont help him much either (Hargreaves had it easy at United compared to what we had to put up with)

Only thing we can hope for now is that Ramsey seriously steps up his game from now on.

Well, that's the price you pay for indecision

I said at the time he was ruled out until November that it would be the New Year before we see him.

The same goes for Vermaelen.

Wenger is full of it, the medical staff are incompetent and I am fed up

At least we brought in replacements who aren't injury-prone.

Wilshere is 19 and he played 50 games for us last season. What do we expect?

I was worried that Wenger was overusing Jack because I think at times people forget that he is only 19 and 50 games at the highest level is a lot to ask for a 19 year old in his first full debut season for the club. And with our plyometric techniques in training, it doesn't help, knowing we're more likely to get injuries than any other team because our particular training strategies have a higher risk to cause damage to the muscles and ligaments.

I can't believe that after all the injuries we get from this training method, Wenger hasn't realised that he needs to change his approach.

The sooner Wenger goes the better. His training methods are a joke. How many injuries do we get in training ??? His medical staff are incompetent and he still can't rebuild a defence (that works!) after how many years?

The guy has gone from hero to zero. Shame so many people won't take their Arsene tinted specs off and see reality for what it is.

We need a new manager now in time for the next transfer window. With new training methods , a plan B when plan A fails , new med staff and who can actually coach a defence to defend well.

Wenger's medical staff are as deluded as he is. The perfect fit.

What new? Wenger ruled him out until December anyway. Now its the end of December. Why people blame Wenger for it is beyond me.

It's not so much the Wilshere injury that bothers me. It is the amount of non-contact injuries and the amount of time players are out. The 2004 side had hardly any injuries. Were they stronger or has the training changed ? I know the players are smaller, but it cannot be just that.
