I know there was a bit of a falling out between these 2, and both said they weren’t coming back. It looks like they’ve stuck to it, but I’m hoping they’ll relent and return.

Anyone know anything further?

Both good posters and Mags is a sound guy. He realised that he had gone too Robocop or Dixon of Dock Green with a few posters and reflected upon this. As a result he decided to have a cool off from JA and pop back on now and then. We’ll see him soon I’d expect. Puyol is a good bear and likes a wum or three. Hopefully he’ll be back once Rangers beat Celtic again 👍

Well....if it was possible to completely misunderstand a situation, you've certainly done it here.

1 I didnt realise that I had gone 'too Robocop or Dixon of Dock Green' with any posters. To be more accurate, I may have realised it but I cant be sure as i don't really know what that means. I suspect from your law enforcement analogy that you share Subs' view that I think I'm the 'Sheriff ' around here with a 'badge'.

I don't and he's wrong. Even big tough guys who can make comedians scared just by looking at them in the street and who regularly boast about their successful life and considerable wealth can be wrong from time to time m8.

2 as for driving other posters off the site as suggested elsewhere...to be clear I accept no responsibility for that. Certain posters have claimed that but its their decision. I tend to stay away from the big subjects on here that get people riled up. Dont really get into the politucs or religion stuff in a serious way so if anyone is upset about anything I've posted (and it seems that few are) it says more about them than me. I'll leave it at that.

3 Having said that, I think this is a great site and it has been very beneficial for me over the years. I've had some great laughs and met some fantastic people. The admins do a great job in difficult circumstances.

4 As for claims of attention seeking. Thanks to subs for nailing that one. That was certainly not my intent. My view has always been that if a poster is leaving the site or taking a break, its sensible to let other posters know. For example, when Curly left I was concerned that something had happened to him. That's just a matter of opinion...no rights or wrongs unless SJB is actually the sheriff around here and has made a decree that I missed.

So for anyone who may be interested, I will still be a regular visitor to the site unless admin decides otherwise. I recognise that my posting on here seems to upset quite a number of people and that a number of people claim to have left because of it.

So for the good of the site, I'll post a bit less and hopefully they will feel that it's safe for them to come back and will enable a few other posters who find my posting objectionable to enjoy the high standard of debate.

So in summary, mon the good guys and get it right up the rest of you.
