to keep pace near the top of the table. First half was very good, Second half was a bit of a non event if the truth be told. 4-0 up at half time more or less finished the game as a spectacle.
Amazing what a difference it makes when you play a proper right back. Will Poch ever learn his lessons, I doubt it. Aurier had a really good game, Lamela looked good as well. Kane I thought was poor today, despite the result, he looks a shadow of the player of a season or two back.
Despite the thumping win though, there were still some moments of sloppiness, some of the passing second half was second rate at best. Palace being so woeful was partly why Spurs cruised through the game.
Anyway three points very welcome. Two big away tests now Olympiacos midweek, and Leicester next weekend.
Decent atmosphere where I was in the South Stand, rest of the ground looked pretty quite though.
COYS
Decent result and very much needed

I didn`t think he played that well mate. I cannot remember him having an effort on goal.

Kane did have a poor game by his standards. I thought Aurier was decent, but Toby was the star of the defence with and without the ball. Hopefully we can get him to sign that deal.

I agree with Worcester.........
Aurier seemed a step off the pace and out of step with teammates. That said, he was an improvement on Tripper and managed to keep his temper when those around him were losing theirs!
Son was TRIFFIC and deserved a hat trick.
Toby MOM IMHO. And Vertonghen/Alderweireld were back to their old form - best CB pair in the league.
That said, we did slack off second half and could well have given them back a goal. I was hoping we'd score 6.
And yes, Kane did have a modest game, but he was unselfish, passing to others, and doing a stint in midfield.
We could have brought Moura on earlier, and given Kane a rest, but ....... club politics would not have stood for that!!
Sissoko did his bit too...always looking to go forward.
And finally, ...... Lamela had an excellent game!

I said Lamela would start, didn't I, Sandy?
Was Dele even on the bench?
I'm really impressed with Son... the guy runs for a full 90 mins!

Ted, how was Aurier out of step with his teammates, when he made 50 percent of the goals?
