Just watched Franks comments regarding Barclay and the penalty, I thought he had more about him than that, gone down in my opinion. We need a stronger captain than Azpi, he doesn’t spin stories well either, and zonal marking just does not work in isolation.

I haven't seen the match yet but heard all the fall out from the penalty incident on sky's panel of pundits and 'The debate'.
Whatever the truth of the matter, I understand why Frank has said what what he has and fully believe 100% he's had to say that.
If he'd admitted that Jorginho should have taken the pen and Barkley had gone against instructions we would have been listening to the recriminations over it for weeks in the press which is the last thing we need, especially now.
Do I believe it - no; but IMO I think it was what needed to be said.
Of far more concern to me is the injury to Mount. He's been integral to the way we've been playing so far and will be a big miss if he's out for any length of time, compounding all the other injuries we have at the moment.

Azpi proved he's not a good enough leader after the Kepa incident last season

Absolutely agree he would have had to say what he did, his face before he said that showed he didn’t believe in what he was about to say. The thing is, a lot of Franks stock is about integrity and he just disappointed me last night.
The team didn’t fare well after Mount went off, let’s hope it’s not serious.

I'd have liked to have been a fly on the wall in the dressing room after the game though!
