So another game in which we fail to put to bed a lead and come away with it disappointed at dropping points. Simply not good enough and not the example of a big team. Big teams don't crumble at having a VAR goal disallowed even when they have a 1-0 lead already, or give away a 2 goal lead on 2 occasions in the space of 3 games. It's a poor mentality from both players and manager at the moment who aren't learning anything from their mistakes. Players aren't showing much bottle and the manager's subs and selections becoming ever more questionable.
I thought after the end of the European transfer window we'd be decent enough to have a long unbeaten run, but we lose at the first hurdle. And now if we do go on a good run, these are the sorts of results we're going to look back to say that if we'd won it, our season would have looked different.
Just another thing, Kane continues to frustrate me. I know that sounds harsh given he scored but he wasn't clinical today, and the days of him scoring braces and hat-tricks look like they've dried up massively. What makes it worse is we have our arguably current most dangerous player having his game time limited.
A big team that doesn't act like one

How do you know? How long has VAR been around?

There is also the argument that certain other big teams would likely not have seen that goal ruled out. I`d have been very surprised if a club playing in a red shirt had the same decision as we got.

It's to make the point that our mentality is weak. You handle these moments better if you're hoping to succeed like we are. Doesn't matter if this is a relatively new circumstance in the PL, it shouldn't be happening.

You're not a big team
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This. You’re an overachieving team masquerading as one of Europe’s big clubs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How dare we try and do the best we can. Let’s get one thing straight spurs are so much bigger than lesta that it’s not even up for debate. Prem title or not everything about spurs is bigger and better than lesta from trophy haul to stadium to fan base. Well done for the three points but lets be real - you are really the ones who are “pretending “ to be big.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Top meltdown there. Lesta?

We are around the 9th or 10th biggest club in Europe going by revenues, and we will only be climbing that list as time goes on. Shame our owners don`t act like it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Billy you can spend all the money in the world, but if the manager and the players are mentally weak, it won`t make any difference. Poch is just not a winner, no amount of spending will ever change that. He cannot get the team up mentally. He has spent money this season, but the team are still imploding like they do every season.
Until Poch goes things will never change. Everything needs freshening up now, even the most pro Poch supporter must see he has completely lost it now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. The best days at Tottenham was when local lads played for their local teams and entrance to the ground was like £20 at the gate.
On the contrary money has killed the game as a whole. Now we have "superstars" that in reality do nothing for all money they're being paid.
They don't play from the heart, for the love of the game. They do it for the bling bling pimp my ride egotistical mentality.
Kane being one of them.

If we can spend all the money in the world, we could go out and buy a whole new team full of mentally strong characters. All the players we bought this year are either injured or have recently returned from injury. The manager can not coach a player to be mentally strong, they either have it or they don`t.
You should be blaming our owners for leaving us in a position where 4 of our most important players are in the final year of their contracts, that can not be good for motivation if players do not feel wanted or want to leave, which is now the situation with Eriksen, Toby, JV and Rose

I cannot understand why Pochettino did not replace Son by Lucas Moura at half-time?
Son was clearly having an off day, running into trouble and losing the ball, and taking pot shots instead of passing.
What's going on there with Poch?

This is a team in transition.
Toby, Jan, and Rose are all pushing the age barrier. In Levy's book they have to go.
Eriksen has already made it clear he is leaving.
Even so, this team should have won this match today.
But for the substitutions they probably would have done so.
