With Pulisic likely to start the game today. What system and line up should be considered by Lampard in today’s game ?
We have seen the following formations being used this season :
4-3-3,
3-4-2-1
and 3-4-3.
We gave Pool a good game in the Super Cup game, using 4-3-3, do you think we should try this system again ?
Also, what would be your line up based on your preferred formation ?

I would probably play Pedro instead of Willian, despite his poor performance against Valencia in the midweek.

Playing a back three is very dangerous today. Liverpool's forwards will press the CB's one-to-one and we'll find building from the back extremely difficult. If Emerson's out we'll have no choice, but it's gunna be problematic, we'll be pushed wide constantly, a back 4's definitely the preference against this team.
Whether Frank goes 433 or 4231 (assuming Emerson's fit) will depend how aggressively he wants us to counter press vs. how confident he feels in the defensive players to hold their nerve. Attacking with four against Liverpool's unnecessary, if you do beat the pressing traps three is sufficient to get in behind them as we saw last season - but Frank does like forcing pressure high so......
Should be a fascinating game. Logically you'd have to favor Klopp to win this tactical battle cos we're playing his football (trying too), same way you'd favor Conte vs. a back 5, but the style itself has this element of chaos to it that can triumph against anyone at anytime if it's played properly.
My team would be Chelseamf's if all those players are available, but I have a feeling Frank will play 4231.

I think if Kante is fit we should go with Jorg, Kovacic and Kante in a midfield 3 to try and nullify Liverpool where I feel they are at their weakest and try and cut the supply line to Mane, Firmino and Salah as much as is possible!

Yeah, I'm as happy with that line up as I could be. I think only bringing in Rudiger, CHO and James could improve that side.

lot of expectations for Reece but noone has seen him play at this level yet. i wouldnt get your hopes up too much
