Torreira, Gendouzi and Ceballos should be the MF 3

Ceballos is a dynamo. He needs to play.

Can let Ceballos and Willock scrap it out. I always thought Torreira and Gendouzi made a great DM CM pairing. Could see it straight away last season. Just needs Gendouzi to get more experience. He picked some peach passes today.

You can't play that Mf ffs. We just chucked everything at it and got lucky with the win.

Torreira, Willock and Guendouzi would get murded by most teams

Ceballos was as bad as Xhaka today, if not worse and has been poor in the last couple of games as far as I remember.

Can see why Madrid let him go on loan. Too lightweight, one paced and not good enough for our objective this season.

Ceballos wasn't great today, but he has looked good in other games. Was excellent when he came on vs Spurs.

Guendouzi has bags of ability but his positioning is terrible. He needs to be sat alongside a proper DM (not Xhaka) and then he can look to go and get on the ball without leaving us wide open.

Feels like it has been so long since Torreira played DM I've forgotten if he's even any good there?

I've always had the feeling that we all mistakenly assumed that Torreira was a DM in the first place.

I mean, the lad is certainly capable of sticking the odd boot in, but his instincts are those of an attacking player.

This is a player whose first instinct is to run wherever the ball is, win it back, pass it forward, and then make an overlapping run straight into the opponent's box.
