Rodgers to Spurs?

I see the bookies this morning have installed Rodgers as favourite to take over from Pochettino, should he find himself out the door (or through the door at the Bernabeu).

If the job came up, do people think he’d be tempted?

April Fools Day come early or something?

Why on Earth would Rodgers want to go to a club who are on a downward spiral when he's at a club with huge ambitions and a squad full of young talented players for him to develop?

This story made me laugh πŸ˜‚

Do you think you'll have more chance of finishing top 4 than Spurs this season?

TOOR ... No problem with that if he’d left at the end of a season ... not two thirds through with a historic Treble Treble to play for ... then attempting to take the entire backroom staff with him mid-season (bar Damien Duff who was just in the door). Classy.

The problem was the job wasn't available at the end of the season, it was then or never and Celtic fan or not, it was an opportunity too good to turn down.

People can talk about the size of Celtic's stadium but that's really all you've got, you're not a big club no matter how much Celtic fans like to make out they are, you're just a big club in Scotland. We have more money, a better squad, better facilities, play in a better league and actually have a far larger fan base on all social media platforms.

The Premier League is the most watched league in the world so it's hardly a surprise for any manager to want to manage at the highest level they can and Leicester are a club looking to be one of the top teams in the league and the signs are there to suggest that's where we're heading. We have fantastic owners and he couldn't wish to have better people to work for. It was a no brainer for him to come here.

I'd say we have equal chance to be honest, I mean why not? We've got a good keeper, decent back four, one of the best midfields in the league, a top striker and a good manager. Spurs are all over the place at the moment and your form this year has been abysmal, while ours is only bettered by Liverpool and City since Rodgers took over.

This isn't saying we will but there is no reason to suggest that we can't.

Pretty unlikely I would say. You have to make up a good few points on us from where you were last season, and I think we'll get more points this time around, as I can't see us lose 13 games again. Think Arsenal may do better too.

Other than yourselves when was the last time one of the non-traditional big teams broke into the top 4?

Yeah we will have to make up a lot of points but again no reason why we can't. On the other hand, you've already lost twice in six games and you're not as good this season, you've been a mess all year and there's no sign of any improvement.

Well I guess that would be Spurs because you never finished top four until a few seasons ago or have you forgotten that?

The mistake you're making is basing it on previous seasons, instead if what you've seen this season. From what I've seen Leicester are the third best team. They are actually playing like a team whereas Spurs and United aren't.
