STOKE v FOREST - Match Thread

They say the Table doesn’t lie, but I must admit I don’t see Stoke being as bad as it suggests - they were a Premier League Team just a few seasons ago, and I can’t help but feel once they get a few results going their way, then they’ll start making their way up the Table - but not on Friday I hope

It will be a tough game for Forest, a lot tougher than what the Table tells us. Although Stoke have had an appalling start to the Season, I don’t think they’re Relegation material

Forest will once again need to be very disciplined and focused, and I really hope the Manager or the Players aren’t thinking this’ll be an easy run out - they'll need to be totally on their game tonight just like they were against Barnsley: patient, strong in defence, controlled and together as a Team

Saying all that, Forest know a win will take them to the top of the League, albeit for 24 hours, but the incentive is there for them to make a real statement of intent - being in the top 6 is brilliant, being in the top 2 would be absolutely unbelievable - but in order to get there, they’ve got to get the result

This could be a real major turning point in Forest’s season, are they capable, I mean, can they really push on and take a firm grip of the opportunity that lies ahead, or is it once again going to be just all promise and no substance, yet another abject disaster waiting to unfold - only time will tell

But I for one feel more positive about where we are as a Team and a Club this time around, than I have for many-a-year

Come on Forest, make it count

I hope Dawson isn’t too badly injured

It’s also really great to see the depth in the squad paying dividends

Uncle Albert came on and played a big role in managing those crucial last ten minutes. That’s proper experience. He is a diamond 💎

Oh, what a beautiful morning.

Dawson only looks to be out for a couple of games with a calf problem.

Can’t say I saw any Dawson look injured or try and walk it off. Sabri probably being very protective of Dawson and is gonna look to sub him if there’s even a sniff of him getting a knock.

Let’s hope it’s not serious because he got an injury last season and then we didn’t see him again. He’s one of the main reasons we’re top of the league

Sounds like it is a calf injury. Wouldn’t expect to see him for the Blackburn and Brentford games. More likely it’ll be after the next international break. Chema looked fairly solid when he came on. There are also other options in Figuiredo and Milosevic that could also help should be be out for longer.

All good CBs but it’s the leadership we’ll miss I think.

Other than West Brom beating QPR (granted they were placed right next to each other so the difference is kinda negligible), results have gone our way

Preston and Bristol drawing
Swansea drawing
Leeds losing

We’re a 3rd, point off top, and play a inconsistent Blackburn at home next while West Brom play Leeds and Swansea play charlton.

Blackburn had a stinker today by the looks of it. Hopefully the Reds can add to their woes on Tuesday evening.
