Great goal, double standards

Just had my daily check of evertonfc.com, you know, to see if we've bought Messi yet or Maradona even, out of retirement, and they're showing Beckford's goal against Chelsea.

Reminded me of the coverage and comment it was given on Match of the Day that night, i.e. virtually nowt.

Granted there was a lot going on on the final day, but it was an extended programme and the three grey stooges didn't even show it again after the brief highlights of the game.

An absolutely terrific goal by Beckford, snatching it in his own box and then riding his luck and tackles to run the length of the pitch and chip it delightfully over the keeper. Yet nothing from Lineker and his fellow drones.

If that had been Southport Stevie G, Hairy Wayne or Frankie Lampshade, they would have played it over and over again no doubt.

Go on, have a look and see how good it was...

And why's this on the Liverpool board?

I thought that goal was good but jammy.

The technique wasn't as refined but nonetheless a very very good goal.

MOTD, Alan Hnasen was beyond the pale. I mean no mention of Assist leader, Nani or joint PL top scorer, Berbatov. Instead he decided to highlight shortcomings & how 'lucky' we were. I've always felt taht Hansen has begrudgingly given us credit when due but not this ltime.

I never saw this before with any other champions. I mean Chelsea last season scored 7 in 4 games. (I believe) but no mention of the 10 man they played against in 3 of those games. The guys were sent off early but no mention of it.

Overall I wouldn't pay attention to their 'commentary'.

FYI Moyes usually has 1 big transfer (Yakubu, Fellani, The Russian, Hetinga) lined up. Keep the faith.

I meant the season before. My grammar is atrocious today.

Well the Yak and Fellaini were definatley 'big' signings. The panic is who will be sold to pay for it?

Now Ferguson was not even in bidding for Henderson makes me fear Rodwell is the one.

25M plus Gibson and Brown would be a good deal and allow us to keep Fellaini

Or 20M and add Wellbeck to the list.

I only see 1 red card in all 4 games and even if it was 3 of them, scoring 7+ FOUR times is no fluke.

Utd have been playing 11 v 10 in their favor many of time and never got 8.
