Pepe needs to be dropped. Hopefully Laca will be back soon but in the meantime I would rather see Ozil or Willock starting instead of him. Ceballos is equally poor.

What Pepe needs is some overlapping support. Just look at the way he holds the ball up just long enough to allow an advancing Chambers acres of space on the wing.

It's not enough just to pass him the ball and then wait for him to dribble past 4 players and then whack the ball into the box.

Pepe is a raw player adjusting to the PL. the price tag makes fans judge him harsher. Maybe rightly so, maybe not, but far too early to start digging him out and writing him off.

Xhaka on the other hand is a completecunt. He’s the captain, but I’m pretty sure I saw him duck McT’s shot that went in, give a stupid foul away on the edge of your box at 1-1, get his customary pointless booking in the centre circle and generally play like a complete plum. Work out the worst player on a pro-rata basis in terms of seniority, experience etc and it’s easily him. Making him captain suggests Emery would rather just get the sack now than wait to not have his contract renewed in June.

72 million for Pepe. Realisation slowly creeping in. He actually has yet to do anything to resemble a good player. Even his penalty was unconvincing.

Very typically Arsenal the way the Pepe transfer has transpired.

It's what can happen when you gamble rather than pay that little bit extra. It could end up being a monumental waste of money. I'd be worried he looks nothing like the player he did at Lille.

He's up against far better defenders / teams in the PL than he was In France. Should have paid the £10m more and got Zaha who is proven in the PL

Why on Earth would we sign him?

Pepe may not work out but why people are pining after Zaha I'll never know

And perhaps Pepe will flop but it doesn't make going for Zaha any more worth it when we hope to be significantly better than Crystal Palace!
