Ridiculous...just watched the Maurita Koch record from 1983...drug fuelled as fack...but impressive

Take a look at a list of athletics world records...there's loads still held at well over 10, 20 & 30 years

Kathy Smallwood would have had records and medals if drug testing was any good then? (She became Kathy Cook). She was a super runner.

she was a decent runner for her time....not sure she was that good

She was much better than decent, still holds UK records, won an Olympic bronze I think. Came second in the world. When East Germany was opened up it was found that the runner who beat her had been given drugs systematically.

3 bronzes...which to be fair given the tomes is pretty decent - assuming she was clean...I've no reason to think otherwise
Holds UK 300m record only...not a recognised distance...we've been ridiculously poor at female sprinting -until now
