but the comment about Poch going straight to Barcelona after the CL Final instead of being with his team is interesting, especially when you put into context with his comments about quitting had we won

Poch does seem like a very emotional character. This is defo a crucial period for him as a manager as well as us a club. Really the first time when the expectations are high and its not all going well..... Very interested to see how he handles it
Most of us already guessed this

What an absolute crock of s heet, as if a footballer can be jealous of what the chairman is earning a year, you know what it is when you read those famous words "a dressing room source"

I don't see why not. I often have employees complaining about the salaries those above them are paid. The reasons given are they don't do anything, despite them having no idea what they actually do.

I said on another thread that I do suspect Levy has believed his own hype or something when it comes to Eriksen and Alder.
I and Im sure others wrote that there is no way Spurs are getting the numbers quoted for lads in their last year. There is so much money for free agent now that it's more likely to happen now too.
Alder, Verts and Eriksen this year.
Rose, Dier and Wanyama next. Couple more as well I think.
He lied to the fans a bit saying the stadium wouldnt effect transfers, again reportedly played clever bollox by sub contracting everything, it's finished late and over budget and the prices are eye watering. In fact I think the pricing is a big mistake.

Something is going on behind the scenes that we aren't privy to. There's no doubt a media "gag order" in place that we aren't to know about what's causing such a sudden and bizarre capitulation since almost a whole year ago now if this keeps up.
We are left only to speculate.

Yes... I've been saying this.
God knows what it is, but its certainly something in the clubhouse.

Ace that’s an excellent summary of our situation. Most fans can see that is the issue. Problem being though the more pressure from media, the more fans will end up having clouded judgement. And the inevitable will happen. Leaving us back to square one.

It just feels as though everyone at the club had something to to strive for/ overcome over the past few years....
Levy..... The stadium
Poch.... Over delivering given the restraints placed upon him
The players.... all seemed hungry to make top 4, win something, get frequently improved contracts, intl recognition etc
With all of the above done it just feels as though everyone is now dropping ball, lacking focus, lacking a collective target. All this talk about staying strong as a team is total Bollix. Everyone has an agenda but its just not lined up close enough like it used to be.
Worrying thing is we could possibly make every change available to us for the Watford game but I'm not sure it will make any difference... This goes deeper than players being in form or not. I think theres something rotten & stale at the club and there needs to be wholesale change. I don't usually believe in change for the sake of it but this might one of those times... For example is the team bellow really any better or worse than what we have seen for the past month ??? I have no idea but I dont go into any game expecting us to win regardless of who plays

Levy has done an excellent job at Tottenham, I don’t see how anyone can doubt that. He appointed deputy Pochettino. He sanctioned the purchase of players that have got us four consecutive CL qualifications, a PL runners up and a CL final, while selling players at fees that have allowed us to break even on player trading. He has delivered world class training facilities and a phenomenal stadium, while simultaneously announcing record profits. He is a major shareholder at the club, not just a salaried CEO. I do not see how anyone can begrudge or deny him a fat salary or bonus.
The problem doesn’t lay with Levy’s ability to operate a football club. It lays with the overarching ambition of Lewis, Levy and ENIC to reinvest profits at a level that will make us competitive in the long run. It’s a complex situation. The stadium debt, whilst well managed, still exists and must be accounted for in every financial decision we make. Money has been made available this summer, but even with that if you extrapolate the money made available to Poch (net) over six years it doesn’t amount to much in the context of a club wanting to compete at the top. This is further compounded by injuries giving new players seated starts, problems with other players contracts and the delayed hangover of failing to invest in the squad for 18 months.
If it was as simple as ‘Poch has lost it, get someone else in’ I’d be on Sandys wagon. But when you apply context to our situation you can see it’s more complex than that and although a new coach may get a short term bounce, there is no guarantee he’d be as good, mevermind better, than Poch at working under ENICs model.

The stadium went hugely over budget - which is what might have driven the zero spend transfer window

They refinanced the debt and acted like that was a victory
Anyone who knows anyone who has refinanced as a company or individual knows that it only works if significant changes are made to expenditure
