Will be a superb signing for us

Zaha wouldn't be a Pulisic replacement (if we did buy him) - he would be to replace our ageing wingers like Pedro (who is 32) and Willian (who is 31) - both of whom have contracts that run out next Summer.

how the f*** are people writing Pulisic off after 15 minutes of game time, i remember when Drogs started he was dogsheite the first season and a half lucky the quick draw experts didnt get their way there

The most knowledgeable fans can say really dumb things for the correct reasons.
In 2009 we were inches away from swapping Essien for Pirlo (confirmed by Pirlo himself). 99% of fans, rightfully at the time, dismissed it as ludicrous business - yet in hindsight, seeing how much that injury in 2008 pretty much killed Essien + Ancelotti's utilization of Pirlo in the deeper role probably extended his career by 3/4 years, it would've been a genius piece of business. The Mikel nightmare would've been two seasons instead of five.
I don't remember it being as intense as that comment implies, but fans could've been forgiven for seeing little potential in Drogba before the 06/07 season. He was extremely inconsistent (always was to an extent), and showed no natural leadership beyond the occasional game where he physically bullied defenders. Clearly hindsight has told a very different story, but at the time that opinion would've been perfectly acceptable.

A bit harsh!

Seemed like a nightmare cos he was such an obvious weakness in an incredible team. Looking back he was OK, just wasn't on the level by comparison to the rest.

I think most will agree he wasn't on the same level of the rest of the team but to have a player like that, who would patiently wait in the wings until called upon was was invaluable.
One of the hardest players to dispose, I always felt his contribution to the squad was massively understated - and he'll always be a legend for me for his towering performance on 19th May 2012!
