Casillas over Neuer seems an odd choice to me.

I'd go Buffon as my keeper. Neuer 2nd. Not even sure Casillas would get top 3.

Casillas is a no then!

His career was I suppose a cross over between decades, but he was a fine and very successful career.

Casillas even at his peak was one of the most overrated players i think I've seen. Never mind from 2010 onwards.

Yeh Casillas was crap could never handle corners

Team of this decade though!

GKs is hard. I don’t think any one ‘keeper has dominated throughout the decade. Players like De Gea and Courtois have been playing at an overall, average of good standard for top clubs for the majority of this period but both maybe lack the consistency and trophy haul to be considered? Not that their trophy haul is bad but for team of the decade you may expect better.

Although declining now Neuer for me.

At RB, Dani Alves easy. LB Marcelo, easy.
CBs..can’t look past some of the classic big names like Ramos, Boateng and Pique. Godin as well, also deserves a shout. And the Juventus CBs could all be considered - Barzagli, Bonucci, Cheillini. For ability and longevity at the top, Thiago Silva could also be there but lacks the legacy of the others.

CM: loathe to pick Xavi and Iniesta as they were more first half of the decade. Busquets and Modric would be my choice, who have largely been on top of their game for the whole decade.

RW, Messi, LW, Ronaldo, easy.

ST is probably as competitive as CB. Suarez, Lewandowski, Benzema and Neymar could all lay a claim to start here. I think Suarez and Lewa edge it on sheer consistency (as opposed to Benzema) and longevity (over the younger Neymar).
