Going forward, it seems pretty clear that (at least in my opinion) Rashford is not a guy we should ever play as a lone #9.
He is best off the left side or on the left of a split striker role. He can’t hold up the ball well enough and likes to cut inside and shoot - best seen in the goals he scored against Liverpool a couple of seasons back and also against Bulgaria the other day.
Anyone think that’s his best position? Or do people see a future for him centrally?
Marcus Rashford

James , rash and martial all seem better on the left which is a conundrum

Not sure how we have arrived at that conclusion given none ofnthem have really spent anytime on the Right.

None of our forwards will excel in this team unless there’s creativity.

Dunno both rashford and martial are best when using their skill and pace to create a chance rather than than being poachers

And both will benefit by someone threading balls through for them...

Come on Robb, we know you haven't reached this conclusion on your own. Millions of people watched the game and will recall Gary Neville saying this almost word for word...

Like to see Martial given a good run up front in the coming weeks. With some favourable fixtures coming up it would be good for his confidence if he could ge ta goal or 2.

This has been quite obvious for some time. The same applies to Martial.

It works better for them both with the interchangeable role they had at the start of the season. Martial's injury stuffed that up.
