Pepe is a big ...big problem

We have spunked away over £70m on this guy who is a total faud. People thought that he was good tonight because he had lots of the ball. But what did he produce ? He missed a sitter because he can't kick with his right foot. Arjen Robben could get away with being one footed because he contributed to most games that he was involved in. Pepe is so one footed that all defenders have to do is show him onto his right foot. He can't even kick straight with his good foot. Pepe has used up our transfer budget for the next transfer window. Can you imagine what we would get if we sold him now? ...not even half what we paid for him...Whoever sanctioned this transfer should be fired ...It's a shocking waste of money.

Likewise look at the Sheff Utd centre back pairing or the Brighton Centre back pairing and tell me that they are not better than Luiz and Sokratis. How can that be ?

Our club has been so badly managed under the Kroenkes..Don't forget they appoint the CEOs and managers .

I've watched Arsenal for 50 years and seen some bad teams but this is fast becoming the worst I've ever seen.

He wasn’t really the problem tonight. He was contributed more than the other forwards. He did well against the press as well. He’s just always too deep when he gets the ball, it’s the same with both wingers. They’re always receiving ball to feet it in our own half. Only once was a decent ball played over the top for him and into space. The midfield move the ball ridiculously slowly

Pepe has been disappointing so far, but he basically has no midfield to give him it in dangerous areas. You see it with Auba and lacazette as well, they always drop deep to get involved. They shouldn’t need to do that as much as they do. The midfield is awful, that’s our main issue at the moment I believe.

Despite Wilf being beyond sh@te so far this season he still makes Pepe look second rate.
That takes some doing tbf.

You are very wrong I actually think Pepe had an excellent game tonight but no one to link with and the clueless manager took him off as soon as Lacazette came on blame the useless passionless manager not Pepe he will be WC if not already very composed player just needs to work on his right foot and finishing

Pepe was the least of our problems today.

I think it was plainly clear to everyone where the problem was.

Willock - 17 touches, 100% pass accuracy, 0 key passes.

Xhaka - 81 touches, 87.1% pass accuracy, 0 key passes.

Guendouzi - 112 touches, 90% pass accuracy, 0 key passes.

Ceballos - 56 touches, 90.2% pass accuracy, 0 key passes.

Basically 90 minutes of "Piggy in the middle" with no end product to speak of.

Blame the manager nothing to do with Ozil or Pepe

Maybe just maybe if Ozil plays, that will bring the best out of Pepe as Ozil is someone who can play a killer pass and create chances.

Pepe looks like a player who likes to run onto through balls using his pace. HE has the ability to take players on when 1v1.

Current setup means he picks the ball up with his back to goal and then had 2-3 defenders closing him down. This is why we look so chit when attacking and this was before we signed Pepe.

Emery Needs to play Ozil or Cebellos in all PL matches when fit. Maybe even play them both and see what magic they can bring. Both players are capable of playing inch perfect through balls.

Current crop of Guen/Willock and Xhaka couldnt play a through ball if their lives depended on it.
