He might have trouble being understood in the media, But I’m sure he is able to communicate with the squad effectively. We’re hardly going to hire a manager with there being no structure in place to help get his message across, especially while he learns English better. Plus I’ve seen videos of him instructing the players a lot and taking active role in training. He seems to get on fine.

It’s more a worry that what he’s telling them isn’t working, or the player’s aren’t enacting his plans. I’m sure they understand what he wants fine

Would something so amateurish as us failing to put the required staff in place on a day to day basis to make sure the detail of what Emery wants is correctly interpreted by the players surprise you?

It wouldn't surprise me, there are so many aspects of the team and club (particularly the team and decisions players make though) that have seemed amateurish for years now. Blowing a two goal lead like we did on Sunday for one.

Recently listened to an interview with a journalist who covers Spanish football. Seems like Emery doesn’t communicate brilliantly even in his mother tongue. There’s no particular depth to anything he says, opting for sound bites rather than detail.

Garth is the uncle of a good friend of mine as well.

When you look into his background and management style, he comes across so much like AVB..... famous for his brilliant communication skills.

It may be that he is difficult to understand, because of his accent, but the words he says don't make sense. He is not inspiring, it's the same reppatative nonsense.
