Finally getting a proper run in the side and is starting to look decent.
Apparently he was rubbish against Newcastle (missed the game and never watch it back when we lose). Previously when he’s had poor games he’s been dropped for a while and it’s hard to build up a rhythm for any player that way.
He has a lot to do before anyone can say he’s a long term option but the run in the side is doing him good and I’d rather him in there over Matic any day of the week.

Hasn't been completely shīte for the past 2 games which is a big step up for him.
Still needs to he doing a lot more though. Still convinced we need to get rid at the end of the season.

This made me laugh, because it’s true!

Jose mentioned that Fred was bought to be a more attacking and creative outlet. I just don't see it. He has zero creativity, hardly takes players on and is not really a goal threat.

For Mourinho, that IS a more attacking and creative outlet

He's always looked good enough, not least because he is a better option than so many others at the club.
The only ones who thought otherwise are the ones that tend to think the likes of lingard etc., are good enough ........
....... strange that.

That's odd Ban Wissaka. He was supposedly to be a Fernandinho replacement at City before that Opted for Jorginho.

Fred wasn't even a holding player at Shakhtar.
What he excelled at was in transition. He was quick with the ball at his feet and back when he played for them he actually passed the ball with some quality.
Then he came to United.....

He’s been much, much better in the last two or three games, but we have two midfielders who, frankly, when they get the ball... I’m nervous! McTominay was all action and superb again, though the usual miscontrols and sloppy passes were evident. He makes up for that though with the rest of his play and if he can cut those errors out, he’s looking like exceeding my and many others’ expectations.

If not neck and neck Lingard runs him a very close second

I've read 3 different match rating reports with each of them giving him a different score (5,6&7). They all gave Lingard less than 4.
