Good point

Well as much as i wanted a win today a point will do fine after going a goal down.Still keeps us top and keeps the momentum going.Palace away in the cup so a good chance of progressing there.Still think we look a bit light weight when the likes of lallana and lambert aren't playing so a few quality loans wouldn't go a miss.Whats everybodys views on this ?

Ambitious move for James McFadden? Free transfer and would be excellent! Definitely need more depth up front only having lambert and Connolly as out and out strikers. Maybe a winger and possibly a defender on loan. But I would like Lee Holmes to be given a run out!

I think Lee Barnard will provide different options up front when he's back, and we could also use Guly in a more central role.

I think Eddie Howe will be more disappointed than our Nigel as Austin's was a cracking goal and I think Burnley were the stronger team for half of the second half as well as all the first. Still, there are going to be days like that in the Championship, and we did well to come away with something in my view. And at least we're still above Poyet, and streets ahead of Pompey so it's all good at the mo. :D

Definitely would of taken a point before the game, and although I only listened on the radio it sounded like we didn't really play well at all, so all in all a good point, still top as well did anyone on here go ?

No, listened on the radio. Went to Leicester but the local footie league is on now so that's put an end to all but local away matches for a while. Reading and Brighton, with luck, no way I'm going down the road, too scary!

Didn't go, like you guys listened on radio and still haven't even seen the highlights yet! Heard Austin's was a cracker?

With Barnard still not ready, the lack of striking options on the bench is pretty conspicuous, though I agree Guly could be used as a second striker if necessary, with De Ridder taking his place on the wing. Also, it's easy to forget Forte, who's done quite well on the rare occasion he's got on the pitch, but must be getting frustrated at his exclusion from the squad. Good point, though, as you say.

Agree that we need another striker as Forte is not good enough cover if we have injuries (which we will) and we want to keep ourselves around the top of the table. Don't think we have seen the best of Ridder yet.
I also agree that Holmes should be on the bench as he is good enough at this level and will provide great service for Ricky and would be more of a impact player than possibly Chaplow.
