Everton should've been awarded two pens.
Time to scrap VAR for anything goal related and only use goal line tech.
VAR again...

For Alli, I think they were trying to work out whether the ball had come off Mina’s shoulder first and basing their decision on that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Even if that's the case Alli's arm is raised well above his head in a very unnatural position. It can't be ball to hand.

If my team Leeds are lucky enough to get promoted this season and experience his sort of incompetence surrounding VAR next season I dred to think how there won't be crowd trouble which I don't obviously condone but I fear the worst unless the FA need to either sort it out like they use third umpire in Cricket or scrap it completely.

The Son red card was as a result of the Gomes injury.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So the player gets injured because of his trailing leg getting caught in the turf, and it's Son's fault?
What next? I have seen players getting shoulder barge and falling into the hording board, should we start giving the defenders shoulder barging a red too?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No I haven't commented on that incident. I was just saying that the Son red card happened at the point in the game that Gomes was injured. I didn't see the incident.

I’m going to fly off on a rant about how terrible VAR is if I stay here so I’m bowing out now.

I don't mind this, but it shouldn't only be for broken legs.
If a tackle causes a player to go off injured, surely its no different?

Any team, and I include Spurs, wanting a penalty off the back of something like the Dele incident is just desperate.

VAR is the only reason Spurs aren't in the relegation zone.

Biggest issue for me is the Ref not using the monitor...
WTF is the point of having a pitchside monitor & not even entertaining using it...I guess these refs don't want to look pedantic in front of their peers (at VAR centre)
The Chelsea pen was frankly ridiculous - Delofeu took two steps past the tackle before going down like a felled tree
The Everton pen with Alli handling with his arm in the air in an unnatural position was as blatant as it comes...& they took 4 fackin minutes to get it wrong..
The Son was clearly wrong...it was a yellow - yeah it lead to a horrific injury, as a result of the player losing balance & clattering into Aurier
Dreadful weekend of decisions
