Treble Triumph: My Inside Story of Manchester City's Greatest-ever Season (Hardback)
Vincent Kompany (author)
Vincent Kompany relives a spectacular and unique season for Manchester City, in which as club captain he led the Blues to a unique Treble success of Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup triumphs. Told from his unique viewpoint, this is the definitive account of a remarkable campaign.
After Manchester City had won the Premier League title in 2018, collecting a record number of points along the way, the pressure was on for them to go one better in 2019 - but instead they went two better, winning every single major domestic trophy, starting with the Community Shield. In this frank and compelling book, Kompany tells the dramatic story of Manchester City's record-breaking season. In the league, they faced a formidable challenge from Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool that went all the way to the final game of the campaign. He takes the reader behind the scenes, to give them an insight into how manager Pep Guardiola inspired them and came up with the right decisions at the right time; he explains what made his team-mates, from Aguero up front to Ederson in goal, so special; and, having scored a spectacular thunderbolt of a goal to virtually secure the title, he explains how and why he decided that the time had come to move on from the club he had adorned for more than a decade.
Vincent Kompany is a club legend, and now he has delivered an account of a special season that will be treasured by City fans everywhere.

Is this a typo? Should it not be 1.25 year history?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ah because unless your successful, your club has no history? way to glory hunt bro!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheers
----------------------------------------------------------------------
coming from the two plastics.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Remembering Liverpools glory days in division 2 and the reason the rags are called the rags. That mate is history, you may want to gloss over it but its still there, the good the bad and the ugly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm mid 30's so I was really not old enough for Liverpool's glory years. If anything I don't remember us winning the league and have only seen bits of success over a period of time. But you go right ahead with your preconceived misconceptions about what kind of supporter I am.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So it's ok for you to prejudge re plastic but not me? There's a word for that .....

I'm not judging you at all, I've no idea how many games you attend and I'm not intending to be offensive, it was meant in jest. Following on from that you have a perception that I only follow Liverpool for their titles which is not true, just like it's also not true that you follow city for their recent success. We probably both have family members who have influenced our allegiances and in turn supported our respective clubs in the back of that.
Anyway all bantz, no need to get upset ya big plastic!

Why don't you read my comment properly and note that I am only joking. And without knowing anything about his username it suggests to me that it's about Franny Lee. Just a guess of course.

I know where it came from, and saw him do it. Though tbf by todays standards he wasn't a diver.
City had a really good team then, though Joe Corrigan did have the odd howler.
I had a mate who swore Colin Bell was better than Charlton, he wasn't but he was a top player.
Never thought Joe Mercer got enough credit, it always seemed to be about Malcom.

I hate the rhetoric that silware is history. There are many football clubs rich in history that have won close to nothing (or absolutely nothing if your are a Villarreal fan). Utter bobbins!
When enjoying a beer or six with real football fans, I always make the point that I hold kevin horlock in the same regard as I do better players that have worn the shirt in recent times because he gave his all at a time he was one of our better players.
I also try to forget Alan kernaghan played football!

I did read your comment sissoko and got the jist of what you were saying. That does not detract from the fact that too many people instead of putting forward logical arguments or have serious debates hide behind the (I was only joking or Banter Moniker). Derogatory remarks and put downs are far too common on this site nowadays. It is all about point scoring and who can be the funniest.

Not point scoring at all mate, I think you need to chill a little. I appreciate there probably are individuals who like to incite responses from others using derogatory comments, but on this occasion it is not the case.
