Really glad we bought him back, thought he was good today.
Thought we played better than we have done in a while at Anfield, just didn’t fall well for us and we didn’t take the chances we normally do. I’ve felt a lot worse after those games though.
Glad it’s an international break now, need to fast forward to Laporte being back!

It’s all good controlling possession but you did not really create clear cut chances. The best thing your lot did was shutting Geoff Shreeves up, both Pep and Bernardo

They didn't control possession, Liverpool did. Until just before they scored after the foul on Fabinho, when we dropped back.
There was a comment in commentary that it was bad enough that City were losing 3-0 but they were getting beat at their own possession game.

We looked decent, for the opening 5 anyway! Just Liverpool’s day wasn’t it. Think we scored too late but credit to ours for keeping at it and trying to make a game of it even with 10 left on the clock. Gives me a little faith we can still do something this year. Still early in the season, although it is looking very good for them at the moment.
Cba talking about var. even if we had scored a penalty they could easily of still won, not a title winning back 5 on the pitch today.

What's it got to do with VAR? It's the laws that say it isn't a penalty. VAR just confirmed it.

Having your arm straight like that and sterling in behind isnt a pen? You would never have a handball if that isnt.

I don’t think he did at all, no more so than Sterling had TAA beaten for most of the second half. Even so though, that’s two of the best wingers in world football, and as I said a few times, I was more talking about him on the ball, particularly in the second half.

We had 55% possession so odd one that. Both sides controlled the ball in spells throughout

We didn't play that well to be honest but we were clinical in our finishing. We could have scored a few more in the first half.
What we did well was playing the long ball between their cb's and fullbacks. They couldn't press us because Trent played the diagonal ball time after time to switch our play.
