Bolton Wanderers v Milton Keynes Dons

The first of 3 fixtures against sides struggling against relegation. Mk dons the first one up. Only the 5th fixture between the 2 clubs. Mk are in the bottom 3 on goal difference and in wretched form having lost 7 of the last 8 games. A chance then for Bolton to get their 3rd win of the season and finally get on positive points. That is until another points deduction in the week. Nothing we can do about that, all we can do is win league games. Team news. Hints of more training ground injuries but kh isn't saying anything so what we do know. Out long term bunney, hall, Crawford, Buckley, bridcutt, alnwick. Brockbank, hobbs, Edwards getting close. Earl is now fit and verlinden available after not being available for the cup. Also look out for the EFL trophy last 32 draw round about when the team news is in and see who we get drawn away to.

We won't hear anything punishment wise for "weeks". It's almost as if they are seeing how we're progressing before pressing the button.

Personally I'd give us a 3 point penalty for the Brentford game suspended until we reach the Championship again, (as this was the division we should be punished in), and a fine for the Doncaster game as it was last minute and was a safeguarding issue not anything sinister.

But this is the EFL at work here so it could be anything.

Ridiculous its taking this long to decide. My view is can't do anything about it and carry on winning games. Lincoln out of the cup. Can we bang some heads together and get that away game played a week on Saturday as both have a free weekend.

My thoughts exactly. If we continue to get the points on the board they will slap us with a maximum of 6 points for each game that we failed to play. What other reason can there possibly be for delaying announcing our fate?

It matters little to these faceless men that almost all of the players responsible and our previous owner has walked away with cash in hand and will not face any of the hardship for his actions.

Will the EFL appeal, or stand by the decision?
After all the Independent Disciplinary Commission was appointed under EFL's own Regulations.
It would be hypocritical of them if they did appeal the decision, but nothing surprises me anymore where EFL is concerned.

a Whites Christmas
Onwards and up the table only 49 more points required to hit K Hills target.

So guys, no Christmas present from the EFL. Read below the statement from the club.

Bolton Wanderers Football Club is aware of the EFL’s decision to appeal the verdict that was reached by the Independent Disciplinary Commission.

The Club’s Chairman Sharon Brittan said: “We are naturally very disappointed by this outcome as we had hoped a line had been drawn and we’d be able to move on.

“We will vehemently defend any appeal.”

The Club will not be making any further comments on this issue until the matter has concluded.

The EFL broke rules themselves by insisting that young players play more than one game per week. They have to answer why the did nothing to protect our youth players when they obviously knew the rules.

Another claim that has to be levied against the EFL is that its process of due diligence for Football club owners. It is not worth the paper that it's written on. We were informed more than once by the EFL that Ken Anderson had more than enough money to run the club. Obviously, no one at the EFL took their responsibility seriously enough to actually thoroughly check the facts, or if they did, they lied.

Whatever the truth is they should not now after an independent disciplinary commission has reviewed the case and given its verdict, be appealing its findings and the penalty that it felt think fit to impose.

Why appoint an independent body to look into a problem if you are not going to accept its decision? It makes no sense and is just another failing of the EFL to run our National game in a proper and fair way. Surely there has to be a better way to run football than let these clowns carry on in their dysfunctional way.

If only there was a way to change the face of the EFL.

Bit silly isn't it the EFL appealing against the panel they appointed especially when the EFL are trying to improve their image is S Harvey a special advisor to them or something after he stepped down.
