I think with cod Atleast when u play it it’s only as one dimensional as you make it. The more u improve the more rewarding the game is (online) it’s a challenge to get a positive k/d ratio. Then it’s good to have a strong k/d. Then when you start winning games it’s like u dictate the game.

Getting a positive kill/death ratio is not adding to the dimension. Inherently the gameplay is one dimensional since it lacks gameplay layers. Simply put it's not overly complicated. Shoot and kill or die while you are in or run for cover and take key points. It's the basic concept of what Quake was.

I even prefer the oldschool Counterstrike gamestyle where you have good recoil and need to understand the weapons. The feeling of getting a headshot with an AK47 from great distance with precise aiming and burst shooting gives way more satisfaction than spraying. Was never a fan of the sniper and camping tactics though.

*I have to correct myself. Quake was gunning down people while on the move. Using cover wasn't a thing.

Loved Dark Forces and Jedi Knight (DF2) as a kid in the 90s so might pick this up once the price drops.

Played about 3 hours so far, had to drop the difficulty as even on Jedi Master (one below top difficulty I think) was still pretty tough and frustrating. Slow burner but think it will be pretty good. Glad they went the way they did.

I played jedi master I believe, 1 below grand jedi master, was tough but eventually u work it out. I'd still with it chris, or just keep meditating to respawn enemies and level up.

Any updates on this, hows the game?

I got it at Xmas but haven't started it yet. Looking forward to playing through it when I've got time.

Decent game. Some superb levels in it, but not a top of the tree game.

fantastic, probably my favourite game of last year? Can't remember any others that stand out...was RDR2 last year?

I've started playing it now, just got to the end of the train level at the start. Enjoying it, but some of the cut scenes and action cuts do feel a little more 'clunky' than say Uncharted 4 did.

yeah i gotta say i switched off during some of the story bits.
