Derby County v Preston North End
Back again for another instalment, after another tedious international break. Still the break, may have been welcome as Derby find it difficult to find that consistency to truly look like top team. Still they're not the only ones in a league which appears to look very weak and is just crying out for a team to take it by the scruff of the neck and claim the second promotion spot. The first spot of course being claimed by Notts who are already champions.
Defeat at the Kennel was disappointing of course but I was impressed by the Faithful finding the positives and not fault. Yes, an absolute howler of a pass by poor old Jayden because up until then Florest did not look like winning despite the thuggish tactics of that Neanderthal Ryan Yates.
Onward we go with the Preston who are doing very nicely thank you and will provide a stern test. We are struggling for a centre half pairing as Keogh and now Clarke are crocked/indisposed/sacked. Smart money says George Who will pick up the reins but anyone fancy a cheeky flutter on Wisdom parking the bus???
The 'diamond' seems to be the way forward and I'm still waiting for 2W to explain it in layman's terms (or maybe not). This seems to be the favoured formation and so far seems to be nearly producing positive results.

Anyone questioning squad togetherness and morale need only to witness that performance today to be banished of such notions.

At last we seemed to playing it the right way. First half performance was excellent. Preston should have been down to 10 men and we should have been at least three up at half time. Can’t see how Preston are challenging for romption.

View ... likening anyone to Stimac is heaping pressure on them. Igor was top class. Bielik has a long way to go.

Only if Bielik knows who Stimac is.

"The visitors were a man down for the final 34 minutes after Ryan Yates was given a straight red card for a two-footed lunge on Hungary midfielder Adam Nagy."
Interesting tactic from Forest, there's living in the past but I thought the game had moved on a bit from this, sad to see it resurfacing again, real blight on East Midlands football.

I thought Bellyache looked really good today but Lawrence was the star of the show. If that's what facing the magistrates does for you then Cocu should be giving all the team a bottle of whisky and then sending them out in their cars.
Preston were more physical than Cardiff but for some reason best known to the ref they avoided two red cards and only committed 9 fouls.

Morning all
I was down in the Shire yesterday, visiting family & I got to listen to the majority of the first half on RD. It sounded good TBH.
