What a difference a week makes

First away win in months, first win in weeks. Decent performance, other than the last 20 minutes which was horrendous, allowing crosses to just rain in. I expect Mourinho to really tear into them for that last 20 minutes, which was totally unacceptable.

From total control, to hanging on at the end. Cannot understand how they could go from so good, to so bad. At least the manager can see where the problems are. Team does not seems to be able to last 90 minutes these days.

All in all though a decent three points, when I would have been happy with a draw today.

6th in the table, when last week was a relegation battle.

3-2 flattered West Ham big time, Maf that is as good as it will get for you lot, West Ham wont be in the Prem next season, so you will have to find another cup final.

I saw little difference from Poch`s team, but this time we were more clinical in front of goal. The level of effort was the same, the defending was still comical and we still took the foot off the gas when cruising. Some players had better games such as Dele, but some were still awful such as Dier.

Early days under Mourinho and it is results that matter.

I feel the same. Thought we'd have won that game with Poch anyway.

Not in a million years mate. I haven’t seen spurs that hungry in the league for ages mate. That 1st 70 mins were fantastic.

Na, The Scammers were just so poor we could not fail to look `hungry`, the same levels of effort were seen against Sheffield United, but we had a tough away trip in Europe a couple of days before. The same old attitude problems were still there the last 25 minutes.

Didn’t see the same as I’m away but looks like 3-2 flattered them

Brother text me to say Alli was playing weakly well too ?

Yes and no.

We were much the better team for two thirds of the game but it could easily of ended up 3-3 in the end.

As soon as Antonio scored at they upped their effort and we couldn't put two passes together.

Good game for Jose to assess what he's got as what do well and what we do badly was very much on show.

We wouldn't have lost every single away game under Poch, Don. Eventually we'd have won one and if anything Poch was unlucky we hadn't won an away game sooner. Unlucky at Leicester and at Everton.

Don

They were not fantastic they were ok. We played a poor side, ok you still have to beat a poor side and we got that done and the 3 points and the away win were just what we needed but we were not fantastic.

I will say its probably the best game Aurier has ever played for us and it was good to see Dele back to something like he can be.

It was also interesting to see Davies did not get forwards, obviously Jose instructions but the best part for me is that we stopped messing about on the edge of our own penalty area when the likes of Davies and Sanchez just are not good enough to do that.

I dont know why he bought Eriksen on maybe he hopes to convince him to stay but I personally would have left Dele out there and would have swapped Moura for Lo Celso personally.

Still its stopped all this "Spurs have not won away for 75 years crap" and we cant expect miracles when a manager has been there 2 or 3 days but I thought we did look a lot better even if it was against a pretty poor outfit.

Spurtle, we hadn’t won an away league game since Feb mate. What makes you think we were winning one anytime soon? Mourinho 1st game and we win away. I saw hunger from the likes of Ali that I haven’t seen in ages.

Are you joking mate ? We got comprehensively outplayed and outfought by Sheffield United. Had we shown the same level of hunger today, we would picked up 3 points

We would have definitely lost that game today under our old manager. We barely sneaked over the line in the end, but at least Mourinho will now see what he needs to do.

Will almost certainly strengthen the defence, if not in January then certainly before next season.

Spurs seem to only last 60 minutes these days as well, and that will need to be sorted. The amount of games they have collapsed in the last 30 minutes is alarming. Jose will sort it though, I am sure of that.

We literally won 3-2 at West Ham in 17/18 in the same manner (3-0 up and cruising, got pegged back to 3-2). We did the same at Wolves last season. We won both games. So really don't think today has anything to do with Poch/Mourinho, just the attitude of the players, as someone has previously pointed out.
