Demarai Gray - well done.

Over recent seasons I’ve tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but last season got to the stage where I felt he was just a bit big for his boots and simply not good enough for the PL.

Hands up though - he has really shown a superb attitude when coming on in the last handful of games. I’ve not sure if he’s quite there with starting a match but is probably already guaranteed to start against Everton in the cup and I imagine his aim is to get as much pitch time as possible before then. Exactly the sort of attitude that he has needed to show and actually just highlights how great the attitude of all the players like Albrightob, Praet, Morgan, Iheanacho, et al. Whenever Leicester City is analysed this is something that I think can be overlooked - the spirit. As we have seen, this is no single manager, player, formation, tactics..has been building for a decade

Credit to him in that his cameos have been really good in recent matches and he’s actually changed the game at times.

His performance at Brighton, however, probably showed why he isn’t a starter. There were a few times when, for me, he actually held onto the ball for too long and didn’t pick the right option in the final third. That’s the area he needs to work on.

He's been pretty impressive and shown his promise recently but only as a substitute, whether he'd be so starting is another matter?

Still holds onto the ball far too long, actually got lucky with the penalty, he had chance to pass way before he was fouled.

Further testament not just to Gray but Rodgers. He seems to have got the match day squad hungry and ready to support the first 11.

I think he’s done this through working with individual players to develop them, irrespective of whether they are currently first team starters or not.

Great looks like a product of this man management, and for the first time in a long time he looks motivated and most importantly developing. That was his previous issue, in that at 19-21 he had all the ability but no influence. It seemed like he was not only staling but going backwards for the whole of last season.

Credit to Rodgers and Gray for the work they’ve done together. We now have a player that can genuinely help influence the game from the bench proven through goals coming from his assists and penalty. He now needs to work on the things highlighted above to prove he’s worthy of a start.

All I would focus on is end product. When to pass, when to shoot. Get this right and he could be back on track to make a few of us eat our words. Me included.

He’s no Praet though. Never will be.

Actual glimmers of light have been seen with Gray over the last few matches. We seem to be doing better in second halves anyway, but he's been having a real, positive impact when he's coming on as a sub. I have to say, I wasn't expecting such a positive reaction to the challenge Rodgers laid down to him earlier in the season. I'm glad to see it and hope it continues.

I also note that Rodgers is playing him on the right wing. I've always preferred him there myself as it tempers his selfish tendencies as compared to playing on the left wing, where he always wants to step inside and ping a shot. As Mersey says, it's about end product, and I think playing on the right rather than the left helps and simplifies his decision-making.

The next challenge is to keep on making a positive impact, then at some point he'll get a chance to start - he can't be too far off in the manager's thinking. Then he'll have to take that chance.

He has improved and manager is using him well, but he won't progress until he looks up and learns to read the game,he is better but still not advanced as much as he should have done in his time here.

Certainly looking like he's improving and his attitude does appear much better. Hope for him yet.

Should start against Everton in the cup, and if Harvey has an indifferent game could come in for him before that. That's a testament to how much improved he looks at the moment.
