There surely can’t be too many occasions that a manager has subbed a player after 20-odd minutes in his second game in charge
Strong leadership. I believe Jose was making a bit of a statement with the 27 minute subbing of Dier.
Yes he did it for tactical reasons as we were 2-0 down, but he’s also making it clear - if you’re playing badly, he’ll sub you. If the team is playing badly and you’re playing well but need to be sacrificed, he’ll sub you. If you’re playing badly consistently, you’re out the team. He will take no prisoners to get what he wants and needs. Victories

By the looks of it it was probably gum. Looks like a solid substance. Even a gumshield of sorts

Yes definitely a gum shield people often wear multiple small ones

Either way, it ejects at the exact same time his back gets jumped on. Do we really think Aurier who scored such an important and sublime goal at Home in the CL intentionally ran up to the Fans and spat on them?
In all seriousness he must have been on Cloud 9 and he went over to the Fans to show his appreciation.
Granted though, it isn't a good look indeed and quite frankly he must have been incredibly embarrassed especially now it's going "viral". Oops.

Thought Sissoko had a good game. One day he'll actually score a goal too.......that'll be the day
