Who is loving this season?

I am. I would cheerfully bet my mortgage, that on paper we have a worse season than last in regards to what we achieve.

I'm still loving this season more than I did last season. And it's not just because we have a club legend in charge. We did for a bit in the 1980s and and again in 1993 and I didn't feel the buzz i'm feeling now.

It's what this season is promising (for want of a better word) to lead to that's got me feeling the best I have about Chelsea and indeed football since before my kids were born.

I say again, providing we've learned from the past regarding transfers, when the ban is lifted......This ban has the massive potential of being the best thing to happen to the club in a long time.

Players we’ve missed that would be in my starting 11

Kepa
JAMES Tomori RUDIGER EMERSON
KANTE Jorginho
RLC Mount Pulisic
Tammy

The ones in capitals so half our outfield players

From the outside looking in, I've been surprised how well Chelsea are doing and how good you look. When Lampard was appointed, I thought he had been effectively thrown to the wolves as someone who was only getting the job because of a temporary "legend" narrative, that he would last about 6-12 months until the transfer ban was lifted, try hard but ultimately get overwhelmed and then get unceremoniously dumped once Chelsea could return to normal with the squad well from the top of the table. And all that despite having good players like Kante.

Instead, he really looks like he's galvanised the team and got you competitive in every match, playing in a style that matches the team's youth. He's interviewed well and comes across as tactically astute and well-respected within the dressing room. I thought you'd be fighting potentially a losing battle to stay in the top 6 this season, but instead it's hard to see you not finishing top 4, particularly since you'll be able to buy again in January.

So from my view: Credit to Lampard, he's done an excellent job for you so far.

I love every season, but I'm loving this one better than most recent ones.

I'm not far from this....CHO needs to be a bit more consistent to make the start, & Zooms to be fair has been very good

I've always wanted Vardy for us...kept getting told he didn't suit our "style of play"

For me Kovacic over Jorgi and maybe Mount rotating in with RLC and Willy and CHO, don’t think any stick out over the other

Probably the most fun I've had supporting Chelsea since the late 90's. Maybe not the most gratifying or boastful for lack of a better word, but the most fun. Watching us is an experience right now.

It's the combination of high risk football but with the knowledge that Lampard's got more tactical acumen than I anticipated. Di Matteo's swashbuckling football was fun but nerve racking, disorganized.... this football's more concise, there's consistent patterns to it & it's defensive issues are fixable - it's sustainable.

I'm growing more of the belief that the best thing we can do in January is nothing. Unless someone like Sancho, whose got existing relationships with the players he'd be playing with, comes in don't disturb the dressing room at all. Everyone's happy, motivated and playing well.

Fat Frank is riding his luck though with realistic results like Man Utd games...
