Dont think we deserved to lose that game

Nope; we should’ve pushed harder to put the game to bed first half, but it was a very strong 45 mins nonetheless.
Playing on a 4G pitch in subzero conditions with 6 debutants and the youngest senior side the club has ever put out, I think they acquitted themselves excellently tbh.

It was. The highest temperature recorded in Astana outside the stadium today was -10C apparently.
I repeat, that was the high

An OG, good keeping and poor finishing still count though, you can’t ignore them and say we deserved more, that’s Hafi logic.

The result and performance was never too important for me today, it was just about giving a group go promising kids a great experience of first team football and rest for our main squad.

Alkmaar 2 down. Would only need a draw to top the group.

It's a shame we lost but it was a great experience for some of them.
There were positives, particularly in the first half and if Chong scores perhaps we go and win that fairly comfortably who knows.
It was a good chance to see how some of our better youngsters fared at a higher level and tbf to a handful of them, they didn't do themselves any harm and I would expect them to get further opportunities.
Anyone reading too much into the game though should know the majority that played don't have a future at United and we won't see a team like that in any meaningful game.
