I’m beginning to struggle to remember the last time I watched the team play and thought, “wow, that’s something else". Yesterday, Brighton, a team of solid journeymen, all committed, were the better team.
We couldn’t keep the ball, pass the ball, shots growing wayward, no stringing together of some mesmerising plan, nothing.
Then came Alisson’s Brainfart, and it then it was a case of ‘all join hands and panic’. Total disorientation, clinging on, headless chickens on crack, fawn caught in the headlights, etc.
I know it’s three more points, Jonjo brightening up our day but, surely our team can play better than this. Brighton deserved at least a draw.

Surely thinking 'Wow, that's something else' doesnt happen very often.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Happens with us, watching Dele, Son, Moura and Kane tearing apart the opposition for the last 3 games/
And Sissoko scored from a brilliant volley and a lightening quick counter attack!
WOW!

So three games in 11 months then?

I think you missed the first half and some of the second half. We missed some good chances. Mane and Salah could have made it 5-0. Klopp and the players thinking about the next coming games abd saving their energy.
Henderson and Wijnaldom are not types of midfielders to control the ball and midfield. Milner and Keita are and should have been brought in.

Imo once we scored the second the team dropped off the pace.
Klopp was going absolutely mad at them on the touchline.
We could been 5-2 up at ht on another day.
We could've been 8-3 by the time alisson messed up.
Sure it was sloppy but salah played poorly and so did firmino and yet Brighton were carved open time and again.

Oh wow... you've really fallen for the media guff.
You've conceded 2 per game and played who exactly??? Yeah... nobody.
I'm sure it's all a giant relief to have the boil glanced and a few goals feel good but 2nd, and fa cup and the champions league ain't happening no matter what the media say

The better team?
We battered them first half and their keeper kept them in it, second half was a mixed bag but if anyone thought Brighton were the better team yesterday then they’ve no idea about football.

I just think the team thought they would go down a gear or two after the second goal - and why not especially taking in to account their efforts from all the games they have played so far. You're being too critical of a team who is unbeaten and have pretty much won all their games up til now

What game were you watching? We looked very comfortable until the red card. Team had to save some energy after the 2nd goal.
You are always good at finding the negative when it’s not necessary.

once again reactionary jimmy watching the wrong game.
brighton were dismal and you could have been up five by halftime. how you figure they should have got something from this game shows you only look at one side of the picture.
sloppy at times but who cares you're the best team in the league.

Jimmy always watches the wrong it seems.
We could have scored 5 in the first half.

I know this will sound odd Jimmy, but I think a loss would do you good. The more games unbeaten the more it becomes a burden, a pressure. When Arsenal went unbeaten in the end they were hanging on for draws.
Lose one and you can reset and stop being defensive. Just opinion of course, you watch them much more than me.

Taken in good faith, manusince, although I disagree.
To the fellow posts, all suggesting we were better, they were worse, etc., we could have scored this we could have scored that.
We didn’t. And that last 20 mins, when Brighton had just a teensey weensey 70% of possession, near total domination, I’m sure I wasn’t watching the wrong game. Adrian played as well in his 20 mins as their goalie played for the match. And that’s what won us the game.
