Harry Wilson Curious case?

Where do we all stand with Harry Wilson?

From what I can remember in summer that he didn't really impress in pre season training and we were even looking for £25m for him before he went out on loan.

Now on loan at Bournemouth and he has impressed in terms of goals. He is the top scorer and is getting good PL game time. Did well last season but that was the championship. He is doing better than Dan James again and that's while playing for Bournemouth and Dan James is supposed to be a success story.

Does he have future for us? 23 in March. Is he just a excellent dead ball player or can he challenge our front 3? We have seen Salah and Bobby being out of form. Could we do with Wilson now?

If selling we should get more than £25m now.

Really like him but realistically, I don't think he's quick enough to play in our front three - pity as I really badly want him to make it.

I still think he could and should take Lallana's place in the team but he has the same issue as Lallana, what exactly would his position be in our 4-3-3

This sums it up.

the boy is a good player but he is not quick and will never challenge the front 3 as is. Shaqiri is another matter. (he's going imo)

I absolutely agree on lallana's position. Wilson needs to think about trying to be a midfielder. Ox, Keita and lallana are all "similar" in that they need a no 8 role in a 3 man midfielder and really want to be the advanced player of the 3 joining the press.

I think he’s definitely worth a place in our squad, even if it’s mainly as an impact player. The guy can score a goal out of nothing, surely an option worth having if we’re struggling to break a team down.

Dunno if he would want that, especially if he's getting good starting time at Bournemouth.

Unlikely to displace Salah, Booby, or Sadio or Origi or AOC and a bit slight so sell him and put into the stand.

He’s a really good player but he doesn’t have the work rate Klopp demands. He wants superhuman effort.

The thing is his numbers are ridiculous for a no mark, can't run, can't stand up to big lads weakling.

13 premier league and scored 6, no assists.
53 championship games and scored 22. 7 assists.
60 u23 league games scored 32, 14 assists,

He really is muck and doesn't "get involved."

If he ends up with 15 league goals again this season what s his value then given Solano went for 19mil.

i've watched this lad play since he was 9

good points: wand of a left foot, excellent freekick specialist

bad points: often gives the ball away, doesn't have great pace at top flight level, physically v lightweight

Eddie Howe showing he's ready for the Arsenal job with those disastrous buys

bit harsh, Ibe was 15m and about as talented as Iheanacho who went for 25m, Solanke 19m also reasonable, not worked out yet but these 2 have what it takes to be a solid mid pl player.
