True.

The EU’s regulatory regime sets out minimum standards expected of member states. In the UK as do other member states, we have chosen to improve on baseline standards where appropriate. Which is often consumer/industry driven.

It should therefore be concern to all why this government has chosen to reengage on its prior commitment to attain the basic/minimum EU standards.

Worried about food hitting your supermarkets from the US. Visit your local butcher, mine runs a slaughterhouse and can trace all pork and beef and chicken comes via larger suppliers in the UK.
