Maybe Eff is a striker in Europe somewhere and OP wants us to sign him so he can feed off Jorginho?

Very weird article considering how well he has done this season. As it happens, counter-intuitively, since Kante returned from injury we have switched up the midfield a bit and we have subsequently been less consistent. I really believe Jorginho's leadership on the field is important - and I'm surprised that Lampard has not yet tried to pair him with Kante in the central 2. Perhaps Lampard thinks Kovacic is the only one who can play naturally on the left side? So far Lampard has played these formations in midfield:

or

---------------------Kante--------------------
--------------Kovacic---Jorginho------------

or (earlier in the season)

As well as Kovacic has played, I'd be interested to see this:

My suggestion of “resting” Kovacic was not because he hasn’t been good - I realize that. But my point was that we have missed Jorginho’s leadership. I would like to see how Kante and Jorginho play together.

It's amazing how things can change in less than a year lol.... but personally I don't understand all this leadership stuff with Jorginho? In terms of dictating tempo of the play yes, he's an important cog in the machine but he's not a leader (by my definition of one anyway).

It's like calling Makelele or Basquets leaders. I see it from one very specific criteria but they're not guys who'll push teammates that extra yard kind of thing.
