First time a coach with no managerial experience has taken over a top 6 club (& a shlt one at that)..... Has disaster written all over it...... Can't wait

Not true. Dalglish did it at Liverpool. Mee did it at Arsenal. Both very successful. Many others too.

It is what it is.
I do not think relief and excitement will come naturally to the fan base but he will get the support we always show new managers.
I do not think patience is in his side and he, and the players, will have to churn out results. If things go badly things could get heated quickly. Especially if things start improving at Everton with Carlo doing a good job.

Prem league era..... Don't think pointing out Bertie Mee & Kenny is relevant... The world & the game are very different today

Id be more worried about him getting the support of the players, never mind the fans... Sounds like most of the squad don't want/ respect him

Big risk as he has no experience of bringing a team back up from the Championship to the Prem!

It's like having Chachi from Happy Days in the dugout.
Guardiola is the master, arteta is just the apprentice and it's doubtful if he'll ever be as good.
Will he be better than the hapless Emery? Probably.
Will he make arsenal the force they were about 20 years ago? No chance.

The world back then was also different to how it had been before that too - especially in the case of Mee.
That's kind of how the world works. Things change constantly.
Unless you're a Spurs fan, I guess.
How many years is it now?
