Today the mighty Wanderers take on Southend in a battle of the bottom of the league. Bolton of course have the opportunity to close the gap to our opponents to only 2 points, (until the EFL finally have their say again).
Injury news for the Wanderers - the usual suspects are out but Brockbank is back in training and itching to return however, this one will probably be a little early for his return.
Don't know much about our opponents today other than they have Sol Campbell as manager and are even worse defensively than we are and they have a defender called Elvis.
Team news: Well who knows on this score but expect the defence to be pretty much the same. Will Verlinden start or be the great impact sub he has now become? Who knows.
Will this be late runner for classic match of the decade. Find out from 3pm today folks.

Pasty 2 weeks and four days without a word from you. Get back on this forum, you have been missed.
Does anyone know what has happed for him not to be posting? He has kept this board going for some time it would be very sad if he had departed the scene for good.

Hardly convincing against a team with 7 points all season, why do we play so well against ,Peterborough,
Fleetwood,Blackpool etc, then struggle against bottom clubs.
Teams now know we are vulnerable in the centre of defence , I just hope K.H. does, he needs also to keep the wingers on there natural wings.

Just back in. Thought we were really poor in the first half but you can see why Southend are down there with us.
Can't help but think Remi isn't much of an organiser of his defence. Some of his kicking at times made Jussi look like Jonny Wilkinson.
Third goal comes from some fantastic pressing by at least 3 players I really don't know how we don't do that more often.
Aside from the match I see a bored teenager was in the DJ box pre match - we didn't get one full song.

With alnwick, Ali Crawford and hobbs fit this is so much a better side. A weakness in one area is affecting things in other areas. It's a win though. 5 points now.

8 games from now to end of January. Going to be a long list of injured players by then.

But, just maybe we will have some new additions to bolster the squad. We will possibly have players returning to their own clubs, so we will definitely need some new blood in the team.

Merry Christmas everybody
Don't forget if you get the wishbone later any sort of Bolton win away at Sunderland tomorrow will do.
For Christmas I've been released onto the banks of old father Thames and travel home in two days time.

Merry Christmas 🎄 to all, as Pasty says we all need to look for the wishbone in all our Turkeys 🦃 the more wishes the better. Don’t forget K.H. never worked as hard. 🤣🤣🤣

All the very best to one and all. I hope that you all received what you wished for.
The only thing that will round off our Christmas festivities is if we get three points tomorrow.

Pasty, good to see that you are back on the forum. I thought that you had deserted us.
