This being the case do you really believe we'll have a replacement(s) lined up.
For reasons I've articulated before I can't see anyone coming in when the window opens and being able to make an early impact. Summer was the only logical time given the requirements of MB.
In years gone by we've had a plethora of excuses as to why we haven't been able to recruit be it Summer, loan window or Winter. I suspect agents enjoying an extended festive break might well be a reason if we can't get hold of them.....
The oracle that is Phil Hay suggests that up to three players might come in but they won't be marquee signings. If they aren't at that level then I wouldn't bother.
I suspect if MB does recruit then we'd need someone playing regular football here and now to be able to make the grade. That sounds more like a permanent rather than a loan. Given our financial restraints, self-imposed or regulatory, I'm not confident that our interest will extend to the better end of the market.
There's a few names out there but I don't think we'll secure any of those mentioned. Hogan is apparently going to loaned out but again, is he good enough for Leeds United?
Thoughts?
Steady, Eddie, gone?

never really cared for eddie. especially the prospect of him starting over bamford.
maybe now some of our own youth will get some game time.

Everyone seen the Jarrod Bowen link to us? Never happen. But, if it did, I could see him and Bamford getting along well up front.

What connections does MB have? He never seems to re sign ex players, I’m not expecting that to change now.

His contract is due to end this year and I cant see him wanting to stay with Hull.
I actually think there is a deal to be done on this front, last transfer window for them to get any sort of fee for him

Any club in the lower half of the PL would jump at the chance to sign him on the cheap. We would stand no chance.

Agree, we probably stand no chance. But, even me,
a Bamford basher, could see those two together up front and know we'd absolutely smash everyone in sight.

I actually hope that Eddie leaves. I believe he's not what Leeds needs.
Bielsa said if that was to happen (Eddie being recalled), Leeds would try to find a replacement.
What Leeds needs is a more experienced player, with height and physical presence up front.
Then maybe, just maybe, some of the zillion corners that are wasted, might turn in to a headed goal.
Maybe

What lies in store for Leeds United in January?
- Che Adams top loan target to replace Nketiah
- Liverpool unlikely to let Brewster come
- Jack Clarke replacement targeted
- experienced gk wanted as safety net for when Meslier starts
