Thrilled with that. When Bielik got sent off it felt as though we are cursed this season. Wonderful team performance. I noticed that Davies and Clarke very rarely passed back to Hamer tonight. I don’t know if that was a new plan or whether with the line-up we had there were simply more options than usual. Certainly the movement was miles better. I thought both full backs were excellent as was Clarke. A big performance from Bird under the circumstances - his use of the ball was very neat and I don’t think he gave it away once. A bit of work in the gym to bulk up a bit and he could be a very good player. Great energy from Knight and Holmes and I thought the front two worked hard, especially Waghorn.

Don’t know if they will all be ready to go again on Thursday after that. With all the talk of Marriott not being fit enough he seemed to last pretty well but maybe he will make way for Rooney and Sibley come in for Bielik? Or might Huddlestone be ready to step in? Anyway, nice to go to bed on a win for a change.

Charlton were rubbish even with the refs help.
But take nothing away from Derby we were excellent.
Great energy, determination and effort from everyone.
You can go through the team front to back and have no complaints.
Bird for me if I had to pick anyone.
He had to step up and take more responsibility when Beilik went off and he did that brilliantly and showed his creativity by picking out Knight for the second.
Options everywhere I could write a thousand words on how good we were but 3R has to do his report yet so I’ll leave that up to him.

Exactly, Peeder, quite a pick-up.
Shows us how far the mood had fallen since the playoff semi-final. It's been quite a hangover since Wembley, hopefully now this is the start of rehab.
