Year Ago Today

Dec 30 '18 Bears were understandably celebrating after a NY derby win.

Loads of Celtic fans decrying team & individual performances.

Many were pessimistic as well about our window signing prospects.

Then in May we went on to win the Treble yet again.

And nobody was talking about the NY OF game result.

We've already won the first Trophy up for grabs.

And finished Top in a tricky EL Group.

I believe these last 2 krap OF performances will galvanise our lads.

One more Trophy at least this season and hopefully the League Title.

COYBIG.

Strength in depth is an interesting conception. In the forward line we have an ageing but still very fit Daniel Defoe, Celtic brought on..... but yeah Celtic still have a much better squad and very few if any Rangers players would get into it

I think we have a decent strength in depth at the moment.

Only a few players that i'm not comfortable with if they had to play and that would be Firth, Polster, Halliday, King, Docherty, Ojo and Barker.

Murphy i'm giving the benefit of the doubt as he's had a terrible injury and was good for us prior and i would have had Stewart but his performances have been very good.

Murphy is done at the level we require. He has worked really hard to get fit bit the particular injury he got means he will never be the same player he was. His game was all about twisting and turning and bursts of pace.

One thing about Gerrard is he always learns from adversity and setbacks , the team are much stronger , have lost one game in the league , last 32 in Europe , into the final of the wee cup and only beaten by an offside (only 3 players) goal and horrendous refereeing after dominating every position of the park for 96 minutes , we also went through a very tough December where everyone expected to drop a load of points in the league , unbeaten in those tough fixtures drawing at Aberdeen . I’m very happy with that , last new year has absolutely no bearing whatsoever in this , in fact the new year before last new year has even less bearing on it .

Bring it on , we welcome the chase

Last new year has absolutely no bearing on this....and the year before has even less

I'd hate to see what he would come up with if he ever took a drink.

Sounds like some reasonable points

Older than most but never even heard of such a coach.

Revie, Busby, Shanks, Stein, Ferguson never managed that.

Never mind one in a backwater who's had a few decent results.

Calm the fvk doon mate.
