Forget defence, MF is priority

Pepe reminds me of Ronaldo when he first joined united. Clearly talented but poor decisionmaking. He is becoming predictable...in the sense that defenders will know he will hang onto the ball and try dribble. He really needs to know when to release the ball faster, when to take on a man and when to make runs behind. There is a decent player in there but he is trying to do too much all the time

Our problems over the last 10 years were evident today. When we went ahead we couldn't continue our superiority in midfield and as a result allowed Palace back into the game.

Thats where we need a Patrick Vieira to press home our advantage or to break up the opposition play when they have momentum. And every home team will have passage of play when they are on the up. Its inevitable.

Had we done that we would have seem out that game with a victory. You could see how Palace started to fall back after they equalised. If Laca had been more alive to Pepe's shot we should have won it at the end. Even with 10 men.

Any ideas Castor which players you have in mind regarding our stuttering midfield?

It's a really tough one. Initially I was of the mind set that we could do with a power player like Doucore. However, the problem there is again the lack of goals etc

Wow, you make this sound like news. Ive been saying it since a few months after Santi got injured.

As for who we should sign, I would say a DM who can pass a bit or a box to box CM with the onus on defensive ability.

I forgot t add, for me Torreira has shown that atm he is indispensable for us.

We definitely need a Torreira clone and we also need an AM who can score. Ozil for all his skillset, rarely scores. So we really are reliant on our three forwards of CBs at corners

A month ago we were linked with Thomas Partey. Seems ideal.
