Whither our club? It’s becoming increasingly likely - I put it no stronger than that - LFC will win the PL in May. Still in the CL, still in the FA Cup. All looking good. Since the coming of Jurgen, good, really good business done in the buying and selling dept. Coaching, top top class. Recognition by the first squad players that they need to continually try to improve. A club, totally united it seems, heading in the one and only direction.

As I’ve read in the recent posts on 606 however, there’s the need for a long term strategy, recruitment - including another manger should Jurgen be lured home by the DFB to manage their national squad - is of the utmost importance.

That having been said, I envisage very little change in the first team over the next couple of seasons at least. Talk of Sadio, Mo, Roberto et al wanting or being wanted by the Spanish clubs is crazy talk. Why would they want to take a drop in performance? Look at the draw which Jurgen is to top players. Name the new manager of Barca. No, I can’t either.

A successful long term of winning trophy’s, as OGS rightly says is the mark of a team, just like United did, with their 13 PL titles under SAF.

That’s the target for Jurgen and our team, and their successors. Nothing less will do.
