Did anybody else notice Mustafi’s weird attempt at a clearance straight after Luis’s penalty foul. The ball was going out of play when for some unknown reason Mustafi slides in and plays it back into his own penalty area, why not just let it go out. Even if Luis had got away with the foul Mustafi playing it back into our own box like that would have caused serious problems.

Desperate attempt to keep Luis on the pitch, trying to make it look like he could cover so card only yellow. Or more likely, he thought Luis touched it last and played on trying to stop a corner. Don't start looking for extra sh!t to add to your Mustafi beating stick.
That's just bad minded. The back pass error aside, he had a good game. Criticising him for some sh!t that never even happen, because you've decided it would have gone how you say if it did. Is just straight being a hater. AFTV mentality, find ANYTHING to slate ya own for. If you want to hammer a player then focus it on the 350k a week in the middle of the pitch. Since he's the only player left whom actually DESERVES any and every bit of abuse he'd get. Mustafi, like Xhaka, at least has the heart and character to still give his all and bust a gut trying to win games and your approval.
Stop showing such a lack of class, have some goddamn RESPECT for people's effort and commitment and shove ya bile and vitriol right up the CAM ass ya been kissing and bigging up all season. It's astounding just how you lot sit biyatching and slating any other player, than the DUD No 10 more deserving than most any player in the league, of the venom you wish to spit.

He definitely did not have a good game aside the back pass error, he regularly passed the ball straight to a Chelsea player when he was under no pressure himself and then suddenly that put us under huge pressure, saw him do that 3 or 4 times amongst other mistakes.

He was also partly to blame (along with Xhaka, who is not a centre back and generally played well) for the Chelsea 2nd goal, Azpilicueta was his man and he didn't move a muscle when the cross came in

If you don't believe Mustafi had a good game overall barr the backpass error. Then that's because you watched the performance like a hater and only paid attention to the errors he made and nothing else. He got in a critical tackle or touch, that many times it was impossible for anyone impartially watching him, to deny that he was having a great game. You've blatantly watched him blinkered to anything positive, solely looking for the errors you want to call him on. No wonder you think him worse than he is, if that's what you do when watching him in games.
I watched him without bias so I can tell you that if you were to pit threats stopped vs threats caused by mistake. Mustafi was well, well in the black defensively for that game. We might well have conceded a fair few if not for him. Stop beating up on Mustafi man. If the choice is him or Luis alongside Holding then Mustafi is the one we want. Luis is definitely worth more goals conceded than Mustafi. Plus he keeps wasting free kicks, we gotta get rid of his ass

Yes of course, everybody who disagrees with you is a “hater”...

Yes, why don't you continue to pat yourself on the back for watching the game with pro-Mustafi bias

Musatfi is simply the worst defender we have had, ever. Yes, even worse than that Brazilian.

No, just the blinkered fools who refuse to acknowledge it when a player they don't like does something right. If I can suck it up and applaud the the pitifully few games Ozil produces. Then you lot should be able to acknowledge the positive things Mustafi does in a game.
Seriously, what do you lot find so hard about admitting that a player you hate, doing something right?

Just because we were stating the facts that he made some mistakes (as always) in that game doesn't mean we didn't notice a few things he may have gotten right.
This doesn't class as a good game though, maybe by his standards but in general when a player makes several mistakes but otherwise does ok I don't class that as a 'good game', it's even hard to call this average because an average game should be one where the player doesn't do anything particularly exceptional BUT doesn't make mistakes. So a good or average game for Mustafi - sure but in general no.
