I hope he can make a name for himself at PP alongside Davies, Clarke or Wisdom. Might this be a good move by PC?

It wont be Clarke or Davies as it wont be this season

I'd expect another centre back to be arriving early in the pre season

I think it's best to see him play before we make up our minds. Albert Tossa keeps coming to mind.

I think he will play with B/ache as B/ache is not very good in midfield, he wins the ball and passes it to the other team and we've got Bird to play there.
